We got the system in June 1986 but was released in Japan under the name SEGA MARK III on Oct 20th, 1985. (Later renamed the Master system in 1987 for Japan)

25 years, my God. My first game console pretty much a shadow in the eyes of the massive NES growth. However, the system had some very valid games and established many great series like Phantasy Star.

The only game system that I ever sold and that was many years ago. And I have regretted it now because of my retro gaming obsession. I wish I still had it and the games. :'(

It was a time that Sega was breaking ground for those moments of Glory that came in the years afterward.

Well said good sir. I admit my first SMS and Genesis were abused. I was thrown into the NES and SNES hype of the late 80's and early 90's to ignore what Sega truly had to offer.
