Sega has shut down the Sega Studios located in San Francisco, the studio has previous worked on 3D remake of Altered Beast, Golden Axe, as well as Iron Man 1 & 2.

Well here's the facts.

Altered Beast remake never came to America
Golden Axe Beast Rider sold poorly
Iron Man did rather okay, but releasing a sequel and shutting down the studio is even sadder :-\

I was almost going to feel sorry for them, when I read the topic title. But, after reading the rest... I'm not so sure if it was a bad idea after all.

Yeah reading that it was part of Sega made me kinda sad. But then those were terrible games so I think they made a good call.

SEGA Studios San Francisco - Axed / Closed

Original Article is located at the following link: http://ps3.ign.com/articles/108/1081637p1.html

SEGA Studios San Francisco was the developer for the Iron Man series and Golden Axe: Beast Rider. They were in the process of making Iron Man 2. They are now closed.

Just another nail in the coffin IMO... but still... sucks to see another division close.

POST IT UP!!
