Release date will be early 2011. Sucks it won't make it for the Holidays :(

A time line is leaked, but Nintendo is keeping it confidential. Thing is, this one takes place before Zelda OoT.

I've never been too concerned about the Zelda timelines, but pre OoT could have some cool twists and stuff.

I finally watched the trailer. It looks very promising. ^_^ And using MotionPlus should only help.

Seems the R&D Team have changed the look of the game a tad compared to what we saw.

I actually really dig the look. It's almost a mix of realistic looking Zelda and Toon Zelda.

HALF finished, claims Miyamoto. Expect it to be around Holiday 2011.

Skyward Sword article.

Summary for the lazy. :p

On Ganon:
"Ganon typically appears in a Zelda game when the story is centered around the Triforce," said Aonuma in an interview with Nintendo Power (obtained by Nintendo Charged). "This time around, the Triforce sort of takes on a different meaning and plays a different role in the story. So because of that, Ganon will not appear."

On the Master Sword:
Aonuma also said the game will shake-up the increasingly-familiar Zelda formula. Typically, "the Master Sword has been something that Link seeks out, finds, and uses to destroy Ganon," said Aonuma. "This time around it's more centered on the creation of the Master Sword - the way it was born, so to speak. Link kind of forges it along the way. It's more centred on that, which is a different pattern than we have had in a lot of ways."

Where it falls in the Zelda timeline:
He also confirmed that the game takes place before Ocarina of Time, but would not commit himself to saying that it was chronologically the first Zelda game.

I told myself I wouldn't buy Skyward Sword until I finished Twilight Princess, but the more I hear about it, the more tempted I am to get it anyway. :))

It appears that nasty game-breaking bug in the The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will soon be exterminated.

Players in Japan can now access The Legend of Zelda Data Restoration Channel through the Wii which will remove the bug. A date for when those of you in North America and Europe will have access to the channel is not yet known.

A Nintendo representative told Game Informer they will make additional announcements when the fix is ready. "We are currently working on preparations for the release of this program. Information on how to download and use it will be made available through support.nintendo.com once the program is ready for release."
