dang man... that is a crazy list :)

unfortunately, unlike the MVS (with games as cart)... all those will have to be bought seperately as boards, right?  You can tell that I am not a BIG arcade person :lol
That would be hard to store them all, no?

I would like to get some arcade machines in the future :)  I think a TMNT machine, a couple racing machines (maybe rush 2049), and an offroad old school machine.
I do have an AES I got from tattoo (do you remember Roy?  I wonder what happened to him). In fact, it was SNKForever's cab.

Hey Blue,

Except for the CPS and Irem games, most of the arcade systems are like the MVS. They either use PCMCIA carts or have carts of their own. So in the end, I would only have to invest on getting the cartridge/GD-ROM/PCMCIA game and not a complete PCB.

how does the pcmcia work?

are the games actually housed in cards (that would fit in a laptop)? Or am I thinking something else?
Are they as good? Which games actually run on a PCMCIA type setup?

hm.. I might split this post out :) Might be a good topic.

The PCMCIA games are all in the cards with pinouts on the side. They just snap into the motherboard like you would add a CPU to a PC motherboard. Once the contact is made, the game plays. I like the idea of it and storage would be cake.

GAMEFAN

are they big cards or small cards? IE the same size as a PCMCIA device for a laptop?

What systems use PCMCIA cards? I wonder if the PC could read the cards?

bump for cdoty's Question  :)

After research, the PC cannot read the data. The game is incrypted and the board has the code to read it correctly.

A noble quest indeed. :)

What exactly is:
Sammy Atomiswave Samurai Spirits Tenlaishi Kenkakuden?

probably a stupid question... but I am curious.

Don't bother with the CPS-2 unless you are sure about the batteries. Those go dead and the board is as good as dead. I tried to send it back to capcom and never figured out how to get it restored.
