Breath of the Wild still looks so good.  My next Zelda game will likely be either A Link Between Worlds on 3DS or Ocarina of Time 3D.  I am not sure which, considering that I replayed A Link to the Past in December.

I finished the game HOB on Steam.  It is a realllly good exploration game.  The plot is fairly esoteric; graphics are amazing though!  It oddly has a bit of the vibe from Journey on the PS3 mixed with very little guidance and exploration until you find a way, like early Metroid games.  The gameplay is just solid; it was a satisfying game with a rather odd ending.

Playing some SNES classic games (Zelda III: Link to the Past and Super Mario World) along with the typical StarCraft II arcade games on  On Steam, I have been trying to slowly trudge through Castlevania: Mirror of Fate HD; it seems much slower pacing than older Castlevania titles.

I am still using a GTX960, EVGA FTW version with dual fans.  It games solidly at 1080 with pretty much 60 fps on most games with high to ultra settings.  Very rarely do I see a bit of frame rate drop, but it is rare and momentary.

I have not updated my computer in a while.  I still get solid frames, just occasional screen tear.  Still eying a G-sync monitor, just haven't pulled the trigger on it!

General Discussion / Re: So about EA and SWB2

I am just now seeing some reports that EA is taking the backlash seriously and making changes, but I am still on the fence about getting it.

The game looks awesome though.  It would be easy for me to get it as a PC version, but friends and co-workers of mine are trying to convince me to get a PS4 to do online play with them.

Playstation 3 / Re: what is currently in your ps3?

PS3 has been seeing a lot of Netflix lately.  I did play Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on it last week.  I really need to go back and play The Last of Us.  It was one of those games that I bought, but it kept getting put on the back burner.

Xbox 360 / Re: What is Currently in your Xbox 360?

I had Lord of the Rings: Return of the King running in my 360 earlier this week.  I did, however, play and beat The Force Unleashed II on it a few months ago!

So this game on's a short romp, hack & slash style game.. but more..

It has beautiful graphics, old school sprites, but in HD.

The music is fast and the gameplay is fluid.  Upgrades are plentiful.

But, the narrator...the narrator will tell you to follow the arrows, even though he forgot that he programmed a dead end.  If you disobey and try to make your own path, you may find money for upgrades, or the narrator may spitefully restart the level or even start you in a different one of his games.

This game is an entertaining romp.  I beat it over the course of a weekend (bought it Friday, beat it Monday), but it has left an impression.  I hope to see more of Icey (or Ucey)!

3DS, DS, Game Boy, GB Color, GB Advance, Virtual Boy / Re: The New 2DS xl

Congrats!  Happy new game system day!

I am still eying a 3DS.  I really need to replay my DS Castlevania games too!

So if that is at all Walmarts, I need to snag a 3DSXL now.

It has been my tendency to not buy systems lately until they are on their last breath.

I am very tempted to dive into one just to get Samus Returns, Yoshi's Island, Mario Kart, and New Super Mario Bros.

I watched the Death Note movie.

I went back and watched the anime series after.

I have not seen any new traffic lately.  I was surprised to see that MM had posted!

Nope, with exception of having a terrible cold/fever/cough/infection something... I am blaming it on the hurricane though.

Playstation 3 / PS4 Star Wars Battlefront
« on: September 03, 2017, 10:27:20 AM »
I was over at a friend's house last night and played some of EA's Star Wars Battlefront.  It looks like some good stuff!

I really need to reprioritize time and money for gaming to get on that wagon though!

I have yet to see any traffic increase.  I really cannot tell if anything changed.

StarCraft (Brood Wars, SC2 WoL, HotS, and LotV) has been a long running addiction.  Warcraft and Warcraft II were as well.  I never got on that well with Warcraft III; the supply limit tax really annoyed me.  At least that game spawned DOTA.

LAN party pictures with StarCraft would be awesome fun to see.  I know I had a few SC2 pics with SpartanEvolved, MasterMario, and BlueVoodu somewhere!

I was able to get on and accept the friend request a couple of hours later.  It may well have been maintenance.

So, StarCraft: Brood Wars is being remastered and released by Blizzard this year!  They have a free pizza LAN party contest happening too!

I just tried to log into and saw a 700 minute wait on the servers today!

I will add you the next time I get on though!

I am pretty sure that it is Grindspine!

I did finally break down and got Reaper of Souls when I saw it on clearance at Target.

I also recently got the Rise of the Necromancer expansion.  It is certainly different than the Diablo II version, but still fun!
