That add isn't going to get rid of their "kiddy" image.  Only making some seriously scary games not suited for "E EVERYONE!" will do that.

It's too late in this console/handheld generation to turn their image around. They should save it all for the Revolution and the next iteration of the Game Boy.

oh... and I hope they don't change their image.

They need to partner up with about 5-10 2nd party companies (like the creators of Eternal darkness).

Nintendo should not sacrifice their reputation... BUT they should partner up with 2nd parties that will make games UNDER the Nintendo label... yet be totally seperate.

Nintendo has made a huge rep for itself over the years.... and the last thing they want to do is tarnish that.  Its the ONLY thing that will keep them alive in the future... because they are more unique than any other company out there... and they have the brands / merchandising..etc.. that follows suit.
