Super Grafx information.. can anyone share? (possible FAQ)
« on: March 07, 2005, 10:02:12 AM »
I am trying to gather information on the Super Grafx. ... maybe like an FAQ type of thing. I am not that experienced with it.. but I Will us it for people that want to know more about it.

IE:
1.) What is it like... how does it play?
2.) Are the games totally in JApanese, are they hard to figure out
3.) how many games are availble
4.) what accessories can be used....

etc..

Just a general overview of the system... and what you think about when you played it and why you like it

Can anyone here fill that ticket?

It uses an updated processor, the sound chip is the same.

There are these games :

Battle Ace
Ghouls & Ghosts
Aldynes
Granzort
1941 Counter Attack

Darius Plus is a hybrid for SGX, it runs with less flickering compard to standard PCE.

All games are arcade style, you can play them all fine.

It uses standard PCE accessories, thoi it has its own lewd "Power Console", not released to the public controller, see it here http://assembler.roarvgm.com/Supergrafx/supergrafx.html

It can connect to CD-Rom2 via an adaptor (RAU-30 http://www.sdk-team.com/c/c_pce_rau30.JPG), or slot right into Super CD-Rom2.

The SuperGrafx is also capable of playing all PC engine hucard games. This is a big piece of information that is almost always left out of info on the system.
