but unfortunately, we won't have sigs here.
There is a pretty good reason for it.... and I know it sounds stupid.... but check out this topic:

We had 70,000 + posts there.... and at 35000-40,000 posts we had to can the sigs because it made things run so slow. I am not sure if I Can disable pics in them.... OR if disabling pics will happen across the entire board (meaning no one could post pics).
I think in the newest beta board version, a lot of things have changed, and this is one of them... but there is no way to limit to only 4 lines of text. It would have to be a limit of characters... and if people are html linking web addresses to the sigs, its hard to character limit like that and keep to only a few lines. IE the limit would be over 200 characters... and some people can abuse that and make their sigs a max of 200 lines long (1 char per line).
Plus spammers abused the sigs as well
Its not a bad suggestion.... its just that we finally went to this after a HORRIBLE decline in board effeciency (on our old board)... so its just hard going back to it with all the problems we had.
