Newly announced DS titles
« on: May 09, 2006, 01:43:24 PM »
Zelda, new Pokemon *yawn*, Yoshi's Island, Diddy Kong, Tony Hawk, Sudoku and Final Fantasy III

Yeah I know Zelda and FF technically aren't new but they were shown at the press conference.

I keep looking for reasons to buy a DS....

So far Phoenix Wright and Trauma Center are the only things that interest me.

Well - Xenosaga if it gets an English release.

Just not enough to warrant a purchase for me.

Phantom hourglass looks great to me.

We shall see how these new Pokemon games turn out....

The new Super Mario Bros. game comes out very soon....that game may be reason enough to buy a DS if you like the older(better)Mario games.

I will likely be moving to Thailand within the next year and a half to do my scuba instructors license. I won't be able to take my PS2 with me. I likely won't be getting any next gen systems for quite a while. I will likely get a DS at some point and get a bunch of old GBA games to play on it with the few DS games that interest me. Will likely get a PSP as well as that is finally starting to get a decent lineup of games.

yeah..the GBA compatibility adds a lot to the DS.I think you would like it if you owned it.

I hope your trip goes well...I have always wanted to train in Muay Thai under a real Thai master...keep us posted on that!

It won't be for quite a while yet - hopefully the DS will have some more decent titles by then.

Yoshi's Island was my favorite Mario game ever (although it wasn't technically a Mario game). I'm really excited about Yoshi's Island 2. And of course Legend of Zelda.  :D

Zelda, the new Mario, Final Fantasy III are what I want. I really hope the PSP picks up some steam this year. I want to play more of that too.

Lost Magic looks interesting (I think that's the name and yes I know it's already out). The concept of using the stylus to cast spells sounds like something I need to look into.

You're right......Tetris will OWN you. :lol

As far as Xenosaga goes I've not heard anything as far as a US release goes and I personally have not had much of a chance to play mine.  It's a little more difficult to get into, because of the language barrier, than I originally thought.  Gonna need some help. :lol

I went through Nintendo Power and wrote down a list of all the DS games that seem interesting enough to buy. So far I have about 18 games listed.  :D

Established Franchise Games:
Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Final Fantasy III
Children of Mana
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue
Star Fox Command
Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime
Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis
Bubble Bobble Revolution
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin
Lunar Knights (sequel to Boktai)
Meteos: Disney Edition
Phoenix Wright: Justice For All

Original IP:
Elite Beat Agents
Hotel Dusk: Room 215
Magical Starsign
Contact
Deep Labyrinth
Touch Detective

And that's just the announced stuff. XD!
