Week of March 1st, 2009. A decent Strat-RPG finally lands on the VC alongside a generic WiiWare party game.
Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen- (800 points turn-based RPG)- is the first game in the Ogre Battle series, a series of medieval strategy games which are quite in-depth. Between levels, you can manage your characters (And there's a ton of different ones to get!) and items, while the actual levels are somewhat similar to games like Fire Emblem, featuring turn-based gameplay. The game has a ton of stuff to do - There's multiple strategies to win each level, you can try to recruit special characters and there's a variety of different endings, meaning you'll keep coming back for more
Mega's 2 cents: Only 25,000 copies of the real game were released in America, so this is about 85% off the actual value of the real cartridge. (Estimated value: $65) A steal BY FAR and shocking that this underdog series is getting another chance in America. It's so fantastic!
and sadly for WiiWare:
Family & Friends Party (Gammick Entertainment, 1-8 players, Rated E for Everyone, 1,000 Wii Points): Have fun with all your friends and family as you take on some very exciting challenges. This is an interactive board game for as many as eight players of all ages. The goal is to be the first to complete a series of challenges. During each turn, a challenge will be played by one or two players per team depending on the type of challenge you’ve been given. (Other players on your team can still help and support you). There are six different “Single” challenges that must be played cooperatively by members of the same team. Family & Friends Party can also suggest “Versus” challenges, which must be played competitively by all teams at the same time.
