"Connect your e-Reader and Game Boy Advance to Animal Crossing on the

get items, letters, music and more! Add designs for clothes and new town
tunes with a single swipe! Use your e-eader with Animal Crossing-e Cards
at the post office in your Animal Crossing village on the Nintendo
GameCube, and get letters and gifts from the characters on the cards."

4. How to Use Animal Crossing-e Cards
==========================================================================
From the information booklet that is included with Booster Packs:
"For use with the Nintendo GameCube
Preparing the e-Reader:
Before you scan any cards, you need to download the Animal Crossing
e-Reader program from the Nintendo GameCube to the e-Reader and Game Boy
Advance. You can prepare the e-Reader at the Post Office e-Transfer
maching (e-TM), the town tune bulletin board or at the tailor shop.
You only need to do this once. For example, if you prep the e-Reader at
the town tune board, you do not need to do it again at the e-Transfer
Machine in the post office.
To prepare the e-Reader, choose "Prep e-Reader" from the menu at the
e-TM, town tune board or Able Sister's tialor shop. Follow the
instructions on the screen to download the program into the e-Reader.

Design Cards
To use the design card, speak to Mabel Able in the Able Sister's Tailor
Shop. Choose "Other things" and then "Read Card".
When prompted by the Nintendo GameCube, scan a design card through the
e-Reader. You will now have to decide where to place your new design. You
may have to discard one of the previous designs as you can only have 8 at
a time.
Town Tune Cards
At the town tune bulletin board, you can use an Animal Crossing-e town
tune card to change your town tune.
At the town tune bulletin board press the R Button to access the e-
Reader menu. Select "Read Card" and follow the instructions displayed on
the screen. When prompted by the Nintendo GameCube, scan a town tune card
through the e-Reader. Now your town tune will be the melody on the card.
Character Cards
You can scan the Character cards at the e-Transfer Machine (e-TM) in
the post office. Go to the e-TM and select "Read Card".
Follow the instructions on the screen. When prompted by the Nintendo
GameCube, scan a Character card through the e-Reader. You will get a
message verifying that the letter has been sent. You can go to your
mailbox to recieve your letter and gift immediately after scanning the
card.
Game Cards
Scan Game Cards with the e-Reader to play exciting mini-games
1. Scan both Dot Codes on the back of the card with the Nintendo e-Reader.
2. Watch the screen for instructions. You may need to select an opponent
or other option before scanning Character Cards.
3. Scan the Character Cards when prompted by the e-Reader.
Cable-free Connectivity
The password on the back of the cards can be used with the Animal
Crossing game on the Nintendo GameCube to get a letter and possibly a gift
or even an NES game (more on that later ^_^). You letter will arrive a few
days after entering the password. To enter the password you need to get
out some stationary and write a letter.
Addressing the letter
If the animal on the card lives in your town, choose their name from
the address list (just a little tip: if they DO live in your town, send
the passcode for an NES game that was mentioned above).
If the animal does not live in your town, choose any address except
another player or "museum".
If the Character on the card cannot receive letters (like Tom Nook or
K.K. Slider), choose any address except another player or "museum".
Writing the letter
The letter you are going to write will have three lines.
LINE 1: Enter the KEY symbol followed by the return symbol (the arrow
going down then left).
LINE 2: Enter the first line of 14 characters followed by the return
symbol.
LINE 3: Enter the second line of 14 characters followed by the return
symbol.
After all three lines are entered EXACTLY AS THEY SHOW UP ON THE
PASSWORD SECTION OF THE CARD, send the letter.

Tips to remember
1. Each letter should only have three lines.
2. Do not use letters or characters that do not appear on the card.
3. The password is case sensetive, so make sure that capital letters on
the card are capital in the letter.
4. There will never be a one or a zero in the password.
5. Please insure that capital I's and lowercase L's are entered properly.
NOTICE:
The password function in this game allows you to unlock features and
play hidden games that would otherwise not be accessible. Keep the
passwords private. Do not send passwords to anyone who has not purchased
Animal Crossing-e cards. Do not distribute or sell decoded passwords to
the public." (Which is why I'm not going to put them in my FAQ <_>)
