NOTE:
Too enter a cheat, press [alt] + [shift] + [c] at once. A menu will appear up the top of your screen.
All cheats are case sensitive.
Allow Testing Cheats mode
When you enter your neighbourhood, imput boolProp TestingCheatsEnabled true, (what version you have will appear in the top right of the screen during play once enabled). This cheat will allow you to do multiple things.
~ When creating a new family, press [shift] + [n] to enabled debugging mode. A message will appear that tell you when you've switched it on or off. Debugging will disbale once you leave the family creator, and will need to be enabled again when you re-enter.
~ While playing, hold down [shift] and click upon a sim. There will be a series of added options that alow you to experiment and mess with the game. NOTE: Some of these may have unintended affects; such as changing your custome to a type of ork wear will remove th days your sim currently works so they can no longer go to their job, thus making you have to start a new. It's best you save before messing with this.
~ While playing you can change the person needs by click and dragging along on any of the need bars. I find this helps alot when you're having a baby and your mother is have rather unusual patterns, or if you want to remain out somewhere for longer. You can also adjust the skills of your sim to help you get promoted quicker. The same sort of thing can also be done to alter a sims relationship with another sim. However, this only affects this sim and not any other.
Gain a skill without losing money
Purchase an item that boosts your skills (like a Bookshelf), then get them to use it to improve a skill. If you delete the item you purchased within 24 hours, you will get a full refund without losing money.
Earn quick money
If your good relationship with another sim, get them to move in by clicking "propose" then "move in", or if their engaged, you can marry that sim and they will move in autmatically. When they enter they will bring in extra money!
Never pay bills
Imput the cheat, moveObjects on and then delete the mail box outside to stop any bills comming in. This is good when you're a player who lacks cash.
Bottomless bin
Imput the cheat, [/i]moveObjects on[/i] and move the bin inside the house. It's close by, and never has to be emptied like the purchasable bins do.
Fill toddler skills and wants faster
NOTE: Make sure your sim has an aspiration meter that's gold or above.
Obtain and feed your toddler the "Smart Milk" to make it learn skills and achieve wants faster. Or, when teaching, get your sim teaching to where the "Thinking Cap". A combination of the two will teach your toddler at it's fastest rate!
Floating house
You can make your house float by building a second story up upon something that supports it (preferably another wall, but it can be done by placing alot of support columns). Once your second story is up, delete the first story to make your house float.
my note: I've only done this with the testing Cheat on. This cheat may not work without it. If it still dons't work, enable the moveObjects on cheat.

*if you set the amount to 100000000000000000000000000000000000.0, then the sims will seem as if they've disappeared. |
