The Neo Geo CD was the state of the art games console back in 1994. Neo Geo will be truly remembered by most as the ultimate in arcade entertainment. It was introduced as a home cartridge machine in 1991 but only appealed to the rich. The CD machine was produced to keep the high cost of the home arcade ports down but somehow the machine didn't appeal to casual gamers. But who cares! Those who have played Neo Geo will be truly thankful to SNK to continue developing games for the console until 1999 - 5 years after the console was initially introduced. Neo Geo games are so unique in the way of color - the Artwork is excellent. The console is essentially a beautiful 2D gaming masterpiece. You just cannot experience a video game anything like the one's that have been produced for the Neo Geo hardware.
